What to do?
What to do? What to do? The director from the daycare just called me & wants to meet with me to discuss the positions she has available. SO, I guess I will meet with her tomorrow & figure out what is going to work out the best for me. If I work at the daycare my hours may be screwy but I will get a discount on my childcare rate. I will also have to teach kids all day & then go home to one so I'm not 100% sure I want to do that either. Although I do not know what will happen when I go on maternity leave at the insurance office either. No matter what happens I will have to work after the baby is born & if I have to drive up here to Ruidoso everyday for daycare then I may as well work up here too.
I like kids & at one time I wanted to be a teacher so working at the daycare would fulfill that for me. But I also kind of like working at an office too.
I guess I will just have to keep on praying and asking God for guidance and direction. Your prayers would be appreciated too.

Tough choice...I know. My opionion...seeing that I am a very similar boat with figuring out childcare and all...do some cost comparissions...How much will you be taking home if you factor in your current pay minus childcare...and then do the same thing for what you would make at the daycare minus childcare. See if there is a huge difference. If there isn't a huge difference...I say stay where you are happiest...but if there IS a huge difference...i know for me, right now, every penny counts. Also...one perk to working at the same place that your child is at...you are free to breastfeed and pay closer attention to your little one. I will be putting my child in the church daycare right down the hall from the office...its expensive even with my discount...but it will be nice to go to work and daycare all in the same place.
