Trained

Last week I went to Las Cruces to train for my new job as an office manager for an insurance office. This week I am working at the Post Office and then next week I will start full time at the Insurance office.

Also, over the weekend we were in Las Cruces to celebrate a birthday and attend the NMSU homecoming football game. The Aggies almost pulled one out but lost in double overtime.

I hope everyone has a happy & safe Halloween today!

YEA! I got the Job!

Well, I interviewed for the insurance job & got it! I start in a few weeks & will probably get to go to Las Cruces for a week of on the job training. From the way it sounds I may become an insurance agent at some point! I am excited and hoping that maybe God has finally helped me find the right career.

I need to tell my PO boss that after this date I will no longer be available except for on Saturdays. I am supposed to start my new job October 24th but I need to see if I can start a few weeks later due to having to work a full week at the Post Office.

Thank you all for your prayers & continued support. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

God Bless ~i~

Jobs & Prayers

Well, the title of this blog is jobs and prayers. I titled it this because in the last week I have put in one job application and been called about a job. The job application I put in was for an Educational Assistant position at the Elementary School in Capitan. The job I was called to see if I was interested is working at an insurance office kind of as a secretary. I "interview" for the insurance office job tomorrow after-noon around 4(Pray please). In a way I hope I get that job as it is 9 to 5, three days a week and 1 to 5 two days a week. No weekends, no extras. But in a way I also want the school job as it is Monday thru Friday too. God will do what he deems best, that's why prayers are good.

Anyway, that's where I stand. Luckily, my mother in law did not get too upset tonight when I told her. I told her I would see if he would work around the dates that we already have scheduled & for now I think I will continue to work Saturdays at the PO to earn us a little extra $$

God Bless ~i~

Oh Boy!

What a week! I won't go into too much detail but in the hustle and bustle yesterday I managed not to burn the house down. I had to run to work so my mother in law could go take care of one of her kids & melted the candles on top of the fireplace (since I had built a small fire & thought it had gone out). I also left a burner on the stove on because in my rush to get to work, I forgot to turn it off. I was making cider.

On a good note, I turned in an application to be an Educational Assistant in Capitan at the elementary school yesterday, so let's pray something good comes out of that. I am back on their substitute list and they have the correct phone numbers now so they can get ahold of Me now instead of having to leave a message with someone at my in-law's.

So far, things are going good. The only thing that would make it all better would be if my house would clean itself. I am trying very hard but it takes time & I have LOTS of clutter that I am weeding through.

Until the next time ~i~

Attention: Update!

Let me update you on my life since the last post.

I finally quit the daycare. As sad as I was to leave I felt it was best. I told them I would substitute and I have done one day and not sure if I will go back.

I am substituting at the Post Office in Lincoln & working on Saturdays.

I am also substituting in Capitan again. ( I need to get them the right phone number. They keep calling my in-law's house)

Lloyd and I have been discussing the issue of having children & we are beginning to try :) (wish us luck!)

We are finally going back to church and started going to Sunday School. I just hope we can keep it up!

That seems to be all for now. ~i~
